21st Century Agenda for Amazon Conservation Paper

Dr. Cynthia Simmons, UF Geography and Dr. Robert Walker, UF Geography & Center for Latin American Studies, together with colleagues, recently published a 21st Century Agenda for Amazon Conservation in Biotropica.  They call for developing a system of refugia, advancing ability to predict impacts of infrastructure development, collaborative conservation planning, among other things.  This paper resulted from ideas generated over more than a decade of collaborations and as a result of special session in UF Amazon Tools and Strategies Amazon Workshop in October 2017.
