Nominations Open for TCDsg Officers:

 

  • President
  • Vice-president
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Tropilunch Coordinator
  • Regional Representatives (Asia, Africa, Latin America)

Nominees should be current UF students who participate in TCD.

Nomination Deadline: 23 March, 2018.

Email nominations (name and role) to: benlowe@ufl.edu


President:
– Initiate and preside over TCDsg meetings and events
– Serve as an authorized financial officer of TCDsg
– Serve as primary liaison to the TCD program and UF Student Activities and Involvement


Vice-president:
– Fill in for the president as needed
– Support other cabinet members in their roles
– Other responsibilities as agreed upon


Secretary:
– Maintain the TCDsg listserv and social media accounts
– Send out TCDsg announcements/communications
– Record minutes at TCDsg meetings


Treasurer:
– Serve as the primary authorized financial officer for TCDsg
– Approve all TCDsg financial transactions/reimbursements
– Maintain an updated budget and financial records


Tropilunch coordinator:
– Recruit Tropilunch speakers each semester
– Liaison with speakers each week to confirm logistics
– Be present at Tropilunch to help setup and introduce speakers


Regional Representatives (1 each from Africa, Asia, and Latin America):
– Either come from or be working/researching in the region they represent
– Spearhead outreach and engagement among students from and working in their region
– Serve as a student representative on the TCD Steering Committee (typically meets once a year to provide input into the TCD program)
