TCD Fall 2022 Annual Orientation & Gathering on September 9, 2022

Would you like to meet other graduate students and faculty working on issues related to Conservation and Sustainable Development?  From all over the world and from diverse disciplines?

To kick off the new academic year, the Tropical Conservation and Development Program (TCD) will hold its Annual Fall Orientation/Gathering for students and faculty.  The purpose of the Orientation/Gathering is to have you, graduate students and faculty, meet other graduate students and faculty with related interests and experiences. 

• If you are in your first semester of graduate school, the Orientation/Gathering is an opportunity to meet graduate students from all over the world who are working on Conservation and Sustainable Development issues.  You will also learn more about the TCD program and its faculty – the opportunities TCD offers to graduate students.
• For “veteran” graduate students, catch-up up with each other, meet and welcome new students and get updates on TCD activities, events and opportunities.  Please bring friends, colleagues and especially newly arrived graduate students who might benefit from knowing more about TCD courses, activities and opportunities. 
• For faculty members, please join us in welcoming new students, getting updates on TCD and touching base with fellow faculty.  You can also help out by encouraging newly arrived graduate students (and post docs and visiting scholars) to attend – those who might benefit from knowing more about the opportunities offered by the TCD program and network.  If your department or School has new faculty with interests related to Conservation and/or Sustainable Development, encourage them to attend or bring them along. 

This will be an interactive event that is designed to be informative, useful and enjoyable – we look forward to seeing you all!   Note:  We welcome mask-wearing! If you have questions, please email TCD.
