Don’t miss TCD’s event of the year: Taste of the Tropics on April 15, 2023

The TCD Student Group is organizing the 2023 Taste of the Tropics, our annual fundraiser cooking competition with great prizes that brings together family and friends. The funds go directly to scholarships and other funding sources for TCD students.

This year the Taste of the Tropics will be on:

Sign up for the competition:
Our biggest fundraiser event Taste of the Tropics is on April 15th. We need lots of cooks to compete for great prizes. Cooks get free entry and a chance to prove their food is the best. We have six exciting categories- Drinks (non-alcoholic)! Starters (Veg and Nonveg)! Mains (Veg and Nonveg!) and Desserts! and two prizes to win in each category.

Buy tickets early for a discount:
You can now purchase your entry tickets at a discounted price ($8). Once you send 8 dollars to the TCDsg Venmo account (@Richard-Stanley-86), we will have your record- please keep a picture of your payment receipt as your record. The entry price at the gate is $10.

Please help the fundraiser:
Please also consider donating gifts- small souvenirs that you may have from your country, field site, or any small gift that you want to donate to your favorite student group. Prize donors will get three free raffle tickets.

Sign up for volunteering:
We will need help cleaning up and setting up. Volunteers get one free raffle ticket and free entrance. Please let one of us know if you would like to help with the collection of chairs/tables or set up for the event.
