TCDsg fundraising event Taste of the Tropics is back!!!

The TCD Student Group is organizing the 2022 Taste of the Tropics, a fundraiser cooking competition with great prizes that brings together family and friends to have a good time and share delicious food. The funds go directly to scholarships and other funding sources for TCD students. This year the Taste of the Tropics will be on: Saturday, April 16th at 5:00 pm 3440 NW 27th Place, Gainesville FL (Drs. Bette Loiselle and John Blakes’s home).

Sign up for the competition: 

Our biggest fundraiser ‘Taste of the Tropics‘ is on April 16th. We need lots of cooks to compete for great prizes. Cooks get free entry and a chance to prove their food is the best. We have six exciting categories- Drinks (non-alcoholic)! Starters (Veg and Nonveg)! Mains (Veg and Nonveg!) and Desserts! and two prizes to win in each category. Sign up here.

Buy tickets early for a discount: 

You can now purchase your entry tickets at a discounted price ($8) online. Buy them through PayPal (https://www.paypal.me/TCDsg). Once you send 8 dollars payment we will have your record, you can keep a picture of your payment receipt as your record. The entry price at the gate is $ 10.

Please also consider donating gifts- small souvenirs that you may have from your country, field site, or any small gift that you want to donate to your favorite student group. Prize donors will get three free raffle tickets. Please sign up here and/or contact Vanessa Luna.

Sign up for volunteering: 

We will need help cleaning up and setting up. Volunteers get one free raffle ticket and free entrance. Sign up here. We will meet on Wednesday, April 6th, 4-5 pm. Pizzas and beverages will be provided.
