The workshop on Tools and Strategies for Conservation and Development in the Amazon: Lessons Learned and Future Pathways took place in Gainesville, Florida on October 3-5, 2017.
In a collective learning process of reflection and dialogue, the workshop participants analyzed lessons learned from a wide range of experiences and contexts in order to assess current tools and strategies for addressing Amazonian deforestation and degradation, and to chart promising ways forward for collaborative efforts to address these persistent challenges.
The Workshop Report seeks to capture key insights from the workshop, and to contribute to an ongoing learning and action agenda. Following presentation of the workshop approach and methodology, the report summarizes the experiences and analyses that were presented by the workshop participants, and then reviews key findings, recommendations and possible approaches for moving forward.
